Jakarta Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat inaugurated Menembus Batas Statue in Kalijodo green space (RTH), Pejagalan, Penjaringan, North Jakarta, Tuesday (10/3). Besides statue, there are also four Berlin walls installed at RTH.

"Let us spread peacefulness and friendship. We need to unite every positive values to build our nation," he expressed during speech.

14 installed statues were given by Teguh Ostenrik, artist from Depok, West Java. All material were made from modified steel plate with thickness 2.5 centimeters. Statues were installed in every corner. While Berlin walls were installed near amphitheater.

Meanwhile, Teguh Ostenrik said, idea to make those statues came to his mind since 27 years ago. He was inspired from various things happened in Indonesia.

"From those incidents, I have an idea to make Menembus Batas Statue that has been proposed to Jakarta Government 27 years ago," he said.

That time, he immediately set up a replica and luckily philanthropist wanted to help him in providing raw materials. After having consultation wi th Jakarta Provincial Government, Kalijodo RTH was chosen as the proper place to install those 14 statues.

This inauguration event was also enlived by top band, SLANK to entertain visitors.
